The following comments are from 3SC delivery organisations who have created employment opportunities for welfare to work candidates:
The strength of the programme is the visible positive increase in motivation, self-confidence to the client and the opportunity to participate in employment opportunities not otherwise considered. Such is the success of the programme, over 50% have secured permanent positions with companies both in the private and the voluntary and community sector. The retention rate within the VCS is virtually 100%.' Acumen Development Trust
'Our evaluation process clearly illustrates that the experience has improved the individual's confidence, their self worth and their belief in their own abilities, as well as furnishing them with additional work-based skills, making them more employable.' Well UK
Feedback has confirmed that the future jobs fund has been a major success in giving pertinent work experience to a cohort of young people, many of whom have not had full time employment prior to the work. A significant number - we believe over 60% - have stayed on in their role or found other full-time employment as a direct result of FJF.' Social Enterprise Network
The chances we give our youngsters earlier in life can only benefit us all in later life. The sooner they get on the employment ladder, the less chance they have of getting disillusioned and becoming long-term unemployed. The more skills they can gain earlier in their life the more opportunities they look for. It gives them the confidence to look forward and see that they have the potential to do something useful with their life.' Dyslexia Action
'Nathan is a great employee, he has shown a willingness to learn and he has progressed successfully. We have offered him a full time position which he has accepted. He has already started working on a project which should make a big impact on his lifestyle, whilst also benefitting the community.' Home Training CIC
