Event - 3SC Commissioner's Seminar

Commissioning public services: Summer 2011

Reaping the benefits of civil society engagement

This event brought together expert speakers to provide a current picture for commissioners of the development of services with a local perspective on delivery. The agenda was also devised to address important legal and legislative changes in commissioning and to provide the opportunity to demonstrate the added value and increased social impact that Civil Society Organisations (CSO’s) bring to service delivery. It also explored the benefits of CSO consortia working, creating the ability to deliver national programmes with a local perspective, in a sustainable manner.

Speakers presentations:

Michael O'Toole - Former Chief Executive, 3SC

David Clarke - Director of Civil Society and Commissioning, National Audit Office

David Griffiths - Chair, Academy for Justice Commissioning

The Hon. Chris White - MP for Warwick and Leamington

Camila Batmanghelidjh - Chief Executive, Kids Company
