SFA/ESF Contract Opportunities

We have just submitted bids for several employability, learning and skills contracts that were recently announced by the Skills Funding Agency. The total value of the contracts we have bid for exceeds £140m and are in five of the ten Contract Package Areas across England: Greater London, West Midlands, North West, North East and Yorkshire and Humber.

Thank you to all those organisations who submitted an EOI  - this opportunity is now closed. This work presents a significant service delivery opportunity for civil society organisations and we expect to hear the outcome of the bid in early March.

The programmes will deliver skills training and apprenticeships for the unemployed and for those who have recently been made redundant or are at risk of being made redundant, as well as in-work support for customers that can benefit from skills training.

 - SFA/ESF: Work Place Learning – Delivery of in-work support and training for employed individuals with low skills in order to improve their employment status and move on to undertake higher levels of training.

- SFA/ESF: Skills Support for the Unemployed and Apprenticeship Support to Employers – Delivery of skills support to unemployed individuals on benefits who are looking for work but face a skills barrier to entering the labour market. This contract also comprises apprenticeship provision within SMEs for individuals aged 19-24.

- SFA/ESF: Skills Support for Redundancy – Delivery of learning and skills training for individuals who are under consultation or notice of redundancy; have been notified by their employer that they are likely to be affected by downsizing or company closure; or have recently been made unemployed.
