Mental Health Awareness Publications
This week (13th to 19th May 2019) is Mental Health Awareness Week. Throughout the week we will focus on different aspects of mental health.
Today we want to highlight some of the excellent and accessible publications that the MHF have published to help us all look after and understand our mental health. Mental health and wellbeing is not a stand-alone issue, it affects every aspect of our lives, both personal and professional. The MHF have published a significant number of publications giving guidance and support that can be found at https://bit.ly/2LDxpl3
10 ways to help with your mental health are covered in ‘How to look after your mental health’. Other issues dealt with include mental health at work, managing and reducing stress and overcoming fear and anxiety.
The truth about self-harm covers suicide, the self-harm cycle and a deconstruction of the incorrect myths associated with it. Sleeping better reveals the 4 pillars of good sleep (Health, Environment, Attitude and Lifestyle) and there are two other publications dealing with mindfulness and mental health in later life.
