Stallion Community Hub

3SC are proud supporters and advocates of the Third Sector, from our larger, national partners to our sole trader and micro-SMEs that support our Neuro Diverse Strategy caching programme. We’re proud to have helped so many of our partners to grow in size and turnover, this is why we’re here.

We were delighted to have had the opportunity to meet Welsh professional boxer Angelo Dragone who along with the Chair (Chris Davies) is heading up the brand-new Community Interest Company in Llanelli.

The Stallion Community Hub CiC are looking to offer free services to local youngsters which, in turn is supported by paid training. We spoke with Stallion’s chairman Chris Davies who told us that;

“We are not the run of the mill amateur boxing club! We believe that we are a community service and we want to use the art of boxing as an opportunity to connect with the members of our local community and a vehicle to positively transform lives! We do this by deploying a holistic approach that focusses on Values, health and wellbeing, technical boxing skills and more broadly, skills for life. Inclusion for all is at the heart of what we want to do”.

The Stallion Community Hub will look to work with everyone but have identified some specific initial cohorts which include those who have experienced (or are at risk or experiencing) Adverse Childhood Experiences, exploited demographics, victims of crime and ex-offenders. The result of the programmes will be increased skillsets, greater self-efficacy and self-awareness and reduced recidivism.

3SC recognises the huge community benefits that the third sector can bring to disadvantaged demographics. We’ve seen the impact again and again through our delivery on many local and national contracts with a variety of funders from the DWP through to local JCPs.
